In 2021, Budapest Airport set itself the primary goal of achieving net zero emissions 15 years earlier than the previous commitment, by 2035 at the latest, along its zero carbon roadmap. Trees help combat global warming by absorbing carbon dioxide, removing and storing carbon, while releasing oxygen back into the air.
