Trees supporting the health of the Planet and cancer research with AIRC
The health of our environment and our health are closely linked. In Italy, the number of people overcoming cancer increased by 54% (10 years after cancer diagnosis between 2010 and 2020). With more than 4 million trees planted worldwide, Treedom has contributed to improving air quality and biodiversity. This is why we have chosen to collaborate with AIRC to do even more for the health of the planet and people.
The ‘Trees for Research’ initiative, which started in 2024, has made it possible to combine environmental protection with support for cancer research. For each tree sold (over 4000 in 2023!) Treedom allocated 50% of the price to the AIRC Foundation for Cancer Research. The proceeds were earmarked to co-finance a research project My First AIRC Grant, dedicated to researchers under 40 who want to try their hand at running their first laboratory in an Italian facility of excellence.
