The real story of a tree 2015

The books are made out of rejected parts of wood reclaimed from furniture thrown aside, broken pallets, and carpentry discarded materials. Nothing has been added or removed: knots, grains, scratches, scars, stampings, inscriptions tell some years of the life of a tree; the biological life (birth and growth) and its life after death (when it disappears from the woods) cutting, use, undergone processings, distance covered, load carried, number of owners.
&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The found pieces of wood get reshaped and rounded off, one by one, making them ready for reading and then for archive, so to be put on the shelves next to their paper nephews, a sort of genealogical realignment, something that the lamented Darwin would have liked too.
Each book is unique, it is different in size, appearance, plot; and even if individually different its title is always THE REAL STORY OF A TREE, which is printed. It is made available in each language. 100% recycled and recyclable, made in Italy, handmade.
&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;A clear challenge is also willingly included: to transform rejected parts of wood into living trees. How possible? A portion of the profits from the sale of the books will be used to support &ndash; each time in each city involved &ndash; projects related to the preservation of nature and to an awareness campaign against waste.
