This forest has been created thanks to the commitment of Ruinart.
For many years, Maison Ruinart has been committed to protecting the environment and fighting climate change. The Maison has adopted and promoted several initiatives. The most recent and disruptive is the second skin case, launched in 2020, an eco-sustainable alternative to traditional champagne packages, which allows for a 60% reduction in greenhouse gases. On the occasion of Miart 2022, the contemporary art fair of which Ruinart is a partner, the Italian artist Gioele Amaro has created 20 limited edition second skin in Magnum format. In line with the values and vision of the Maison, part of the proceeds from the sale of these 20 exclusive bottles go to Treedom, a benefit company whose goal is to plant trees capable of bringing social and environmental benefits, as well as raising public awareness to take care of the planet.

Miart 2022: Gioele Amaro x Ruinart

Maison Ruinart is the oldest Chempagne House, founded on September, 1st 1729 in Reims. The Benedictine monk Dom Thierry Ruinart was the visioner while his nephew Nicolas the founder. Ruinart bought in 1768 some ancient chalk cellars from the Gallo-Roman period, dug under the city of Reims up to 38 meters deep, to keep the bottles. Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this spectacular site, called Les Crayères, is spread over three levels and eight kilometers of tunnels. The Chardonnay grape is the soul of Maison Ruinart, the "fil rouge" that unites all its Champagnes. Present in high proportions in all cuvées, this grape gives life to bright and intense wines with a unique lightness and a great aromatic freshness. The commitment linked to sustainability and the link with art make Maison Ruinart the conscious and contemporary jewel of Champagne.
