The Forest
At PMI, sustainability strategy is corporate strategy. Integrating sustainability into our company relies on a formal structure with clear accountabilities at different levels of the organization. Anchoring our sustainability priorities with executive responsibilities and accountabilities helps embed our strategy into our daily operations. Within our Company Management, individuals are responsible for driving progress and delivering on our sustainability targets within their respective functions.As part of PMI individuals, the Security & Market Safety function wanted to proactively contribute to the overall sustainability strategy by going beyond the corporate duties. By planting this forest we engage to be trustful partners of this sustainability journey and we are willing to do our best to protect and preserve our environment.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
