Starting with the name: Hans Carl von Carlowitz (1645 - 1714) is the namesake of our brand. Don't worry if you've never heard of him. But he is considered the founder of "sustainability" and called for forest management, consistent reforestation and sustainable use of forests hundreds of years ago. His concept was actually absolutely logical: Only as much forest is cut down as can grow back again. We can emphasize this twice, which is why we're now planting our own "Karl Karlo® Forest". Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
