LIVING TOGETHER MEANS GROWING TOGETHERThis forest is dedicated to ifm Italy employees.In the perspective of involving them in the Group's mission, each of them has received an orange tree as a gift: a symbol of life and energy.Nevertheless, it is not enough to plant a tree to be sure it will come to germinate.It needs daily actions and care: it is necessary to water it, protect it from bad weather, fertilize it and even love it.It is by taking care of each single tree in our "orchard" that our harvest will give good fruit.Each of us is a farmer.Each of us is sprout.Together we are VITAMIN.LET’S GROW THE CHANGEEvery tree that is planted in our forest supports an organization called “Beppe Montana” which was born on 23rd June 2010, on the land around Catania and Syracuse. It was founded in the memory of Commissioner Giuseppe Montana, who was killed by Cosa Nostra in 1985. The cooperative works on lands that were confiscated from the Mafia. The land is organic farmed, respecting traditional vocations, in order to create legal work opportunities and quality productions, which are expressions of the productive wealth of this territory.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
