The Forest
We know carbon offsetting on its own isn’t good enough, so we are committed in growing forests with a socioeconomic impact in parts of the world with the largest possible impact.
This initiative represents our dedication to fostering a symbiotic relationship between community welfare and nature.
The socio-economic forest is more than just a corporate responsibility project for us; it's a symbol of our values and our vision for the future. It embodies our belief that businesses can, and should, play a crucial role in addressing environmental challenges while also promoting social welfare.
Our goals for this project are threefold:
1. Environmental Conservation: By planting and nurturing a diverse range of tree species, we aim to create a thriving ecosystem that can serve as a habitat for various forms of wildlife. This aligns with our commitment to biodiversity and our efforts to combat climate change.
2. Socio-Economic Development: We plan to involve local communities in the maintenance and growth of the forest. This will not only provide them with a sustainable source of income but also promote skills development and community cohesion.
3. Sustainable Business Practices: The forest will also serve as a tangible reminder of the importance of sustainability in our business operations. We hope that it will inspire us to continually seek out ways to reduce our environmental footprint and contribute positively to society.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
The trees in the forest will absorb:
43.49 t* of CO₂
