The Forest
The Timberland Eyewear ForestTogether with Treedom we are creating the Timberland Eyewear forest. Our forest spans globally and is comprised of diverse tree species. Among the trees are coffee and cocoa in the Americas, and guava, avocado and passion fruit in Africa. Our trees are planted in 7 countries in 3 continents:Africa - Kenya, Madagascar, and TanzaniaNorth America - Guatemala and HaitiSouth America - Colombia and EcuadorEach tree in the Timberland Eyewear Forest will absorb an average of 277 kg of CO2. This is equivalent to a car traveling 1,000km.We support Timberland's commitment to plant 50 million trees by 2025. Timberland Eyewear, exclusively designed and produced by Marcolin, has committed to partnering with Treedom for 3 years while we continue to grow our forest. All trees are planted directly by local farmers and bring environmental, social and financial benefits to their communities. We aren’t just planting trees; we’re planting a greener future. Be sure to stay tuned to track the progress we’ll make.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
