The Forest
System Logistics has always looked to the future, with the awareness of having to contribute to the development of the communities in which it operates without ceasing to hope for a positive impact at a global level.
On this occasion, the company decided to provide its contribution through the establishment of a partnership with Treedom, putting into practice a concrete and tangible initiative: the forest System logistics.
The project involves the initial planting of about 550 trees, corresponding to the number of people in the Headquarter. To create an increasingly lush forest, the company decided to continue planting a new tree for each new employee who will join the System Logistics family and for each new birth of employees' children.
Tree planting is one of the most effective methods for climate change mitigation and biodiversity conservation, but its social value is equally important, to support local communities in rural areas in the southern hemisphere that benefit directly from trees in terms of food resources and economic opportunities.
In this way, the Forest System Logistics becomes an opportunity to create a positive link between the company, its employees and rural communities, promoting sustainability and environmental protection as fundamental values for the future.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
