The Forest
Following the steps of Aris Ballestrazzi, who planted the first seed of this company, we create our forest, with the awareness that the legacy and the responsibility of making it grow belongs to all those who are and will be part of Sitma. A concrete action, which contributes to the maintenance of ecosystems, the reduction of CO2 emissions and favors the production of fruits that will be used locally.
Each planted tree represents the beginning of a job, a tool for producing food and a way to improve the surrounding habitat. Through the active involvement of the whole local community, the projects allow to obtain extraordinary results by triggering virtuous behaviors of respect and protection of natural resources.
Step by step we will follow the growth and development of these plants, which represent our employees and their growth within our family.
In the same way, a plant will be added for each new arrival in Sitma, for a sustainable, economic and environmental growth beyond time, place and generations.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
