The Forest
Kicking off in August 2021, PLI is taking its Unstoppable Heroes - PETRONAS Urania Roadshow on a European tour from the UK, through to Spain, Portugal, Italy, Turkey, Romania and Poland.In an effort to support neutralising the environmental impact of the carbon emissions produced by the roadshow, and to cement the company's dedication to its corporate social responsibility, PLI will start by planting 1,000 trees with Treedom in the PETRONAS Urania Forest.PLI's journey to reach its 2050 net zero carbon emission goal is well underway and the planting of the PETRONAS Urania forest is just one of those steps being taken.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
