The parkrun forest is the heart and the starting point of the environmental commitment, to which - we are sure - no parkrunner will want to escape.The combination of the objectives and values of parkrun is to be defined precisely because the forest parkrun/Treedom is a natural synonym of reforestation and biodiversity.Each parkrunner can contribute to the forest growth of each parkrun event.If a parkrunner runs in different cities he can plant a tree even in the forest of that city of reference.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
