The Forest
We joined Treedom a few years ago, struck by the power of a project as simple as it is concrete. Now we have decided to step up our commitment on this front and to support the intervention in the “Parco delle Chiese rupestri” park in Materano. In addition to preserving about 150 places of worship founded by the monastic communities that have inhabited it since the Middle Ages, this territory also has some extraordinary landscape and naturalistic characteristics. We will contribute to enriching biodiversity by funding the planting of 200 plants typical of the local habitat, which are also essential for the survival of different bird species. If 2020 has any merit, it is that it has made it clear how everything is deeply interconnected, forcing us to look to the future with greater awareness. At the end of this annus horribilis, which despite some difficulties our company has managed to overcome, we therefore felt obliged to give back some of what we have gained through this investment, which will leave a tangible mark for our country and for future generations.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
