The Forest
Our family history has a long connection with the mountains which for us have been a school of life, of involvement in community sport and social activities. Because of this, the terrible devastation of millions of trees which happened on our mountains in the Veneto because of the climatic events of Summer 2018 could not leave us indifferent.We therefore decided to give our contribution to the environmental restoration in order to bring back that magical environment of the mountains which we were used to and which future generations should have the right to admire. Thanks to our positive experience with Treedom in three “tropical”rainforest planting projects during 2018 with which we tackled the theme of CO2 reduction, we again resorted to their well known experience. Treedom will manage the planting of 100 forestal trees in accordance with the regulations of the public institutions together with local partners. The reforestation will also increase our quota of CO2 absorption.The new forest is called “Montagna Nostra” (Our Mountains) and is dedicated, as always, to Ilaria, Annachiara and Alice in the hope that, one day, as the family’s fifth generation, they will continue our commitment.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
