The Forest
MAGROUP promotes the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility by paying close attention to environmental protection, respect for human rights and better corporate governance. With this in mind, MAGROUP Green Forest, a project related to sustainability, was born: we decided to plant a tree for each Group employee and give it as a gift. We will create a forest of 1,200 trees in two years, spread across Kenya,Tanzania, Malawi and Cameroon. Each employee will be able to follow the path and growth of his or her own tree and in turn plant new ones. The trees in question are fruit trees and their own care will be handled by local growers so the project has a dual value: sustainable for the environment and for the community. At MAGROUP we believe in the idea that business and performance go hand in hand with building a more sustainable, prosperous and healthy planet.Through our actions we promote the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the MAGROUP Green Forest is a concrete example of our commitment.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
The trees in the forest will absorb:
332.95 t* of CO₂
