The Forest
The Local Organizing Committee of 25th International Congress of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (25th ICTAM 2020+1_Virtual), to help in paving the way for a green future, decided to plant 200 trees for a Global Forest.Through our forest, we will not only be contributing towards biodiversity, CO2 absorption and supporting local farmers; but it will be a reflection of all the commitment, efforts and passion we have invested into this Virtual Event !Each participant will have the opportunity to contribute personally, by planting a tree remotely!This forest will contribute to reducing the global CO2 emission, protect biodiversity and support the local economy. Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
