The Forest
Happy holidays everyone! En lieu of gifts this festive season we decided to expand our 'global forest' by planting 200 more trees and increasing our forest in size and geographical reach to 400 trees, in six different countries and 12 different species. This is also part of our commitment to play our part in climate action. Our global forest now spans Haiti, Nepal, Kenya, Tanzania, Ecuador and Columbia and includes the following species: Macadamia, Coffee, Lemon, Passion Fruit, Grevillea, Morina, Leucena, Cacao, Guava, White mangrove, Papaya, and Avocado. We've partnered with Treedom on this initiative, and they will be photographing every single tree planted. Each tree will be geolocated and given its own online page, where we'll get to know the farmers behind the trees, as well as updates throughout the lifetime of the tree. There are so many benefits to tree planting - from social, to environmental to empowering disadvantaged farming communities. Please browse our Global Forest for details of each of our trees. We look forward to getting the diary updates and watching our Global Forest grow!#GreenThePlanet #HappyHolidays #Global Cares
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
The trees in the forest will absorb:
45.25 t* of CO₂
