The Forest
In recent years, we have increased our commitment to issues concerning environmental sustainability and the circular economy. Not only as regards coffee, by inserting in our product assortment Fairtrade and Rainforest alliancecertified blends, but also by adopting a “Design For Recycling” approach, thanks to a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to developing easily recyclable packaging using mono- or compostable materials which also have a positive environmental impact in logistic terms.However, we strive to do more. That is why, during Ambrosetti’s 2021 Food Forum, we decided to create our own forest and start planting trees in it, by donating a tree to each participant of the forum.This is just a small gesture, in addition to other initiatives and projects that are currently being developed, in compliance with the group’s objective of reducing its impact on carbon dioxide emissions and reaching carbon neutrality in its activities, thus making its coffee an even better product for the planet.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
The trees in the forest will absorb:
