The Forest
In order to welcome every child residing in the City of Pietrasanta born during 2022, the Councillorship to Kindness together with the Councillorship to the Environment will contribute to plant a tree with Treedom in Kenya. Therefore, it is not just an ordinary gift, but something that could accompany a child during his/her growth path, which could open his/her horizons, bring him/her closer to distant realities, and inspire him/her for small and large adventures: a little, great gesture, that will allow to create environmental, social and economic benefits. The seedling, in fact, will grow together with the child, who will receive periodic information on the health status of his/her sapling and on the advantages it will bring to the environment by absorbing CO2, and to the local community of reference, which will take care of it. After all, the man and the tree have been always having intertwined roots: as a human being, it is born, grows, contributes to produce flowers and fruits. The tree is life, it is seed, it is air, it is the breath of the Earth.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
