Citterio Green is born from the project “Citterio for our planet”. This is a 100% Italian high-quality range that respects our tradition, the environment and the animals. In this occasion Citterio inaugurates its own forest which represent another significant contribution to the planet. This is an engagement that Citterio started some years ago because it wants that sustainably becomes one of the company’s key value. For 20 years Citterio is embracing every aspect of sustainably and innovation: packaging, production processes and raw materials. The company is involved in different projects concerning animal welfare: it is investing in its own breeding farms; it constantly tries to improve the environmental impact of its production sites and processes in order to optimize the efficiency by reducing consumption. At last, the company pays attention to the packing development through the use of recyclable materials with less plastic.Citterio Green range makes another step towards this direction. The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
