The Forest
All of us can take small steps to contribute to a more sustainable planet. Together with the Association, the organising committee of AIJA’s 57th Annual Congress ‘Sustainability and the Law: Planet. People. Future.’ has been inspired to do just that: take action to be more sustainable! Thanks to our partner Treedom, AIJA will have one tree planted for every participant to offset the carbon emissions of the event. These trees will be planted to support local communities in Cameroon. Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
