The Forest
For us, sustainability represents a value that guides us on a daily basis. Taking care of people and the planet is, for us, a responsibility to build a better future. We accelerate market adoption of zero-emission solutions that use clean energy. We inspire sustainable practices, leading and promoting the energy transition. We build long-term relationships with our stakeholders through mutual respect, transparency and honesty.In line with this vision, we started the Treedom project.Our voestalpine High Performance Metals Italy forest will absorb emissions of more than 230 tons of co2. Trees will be planted in different countries, because when it comes to sustainability, there are no borders. The trees planted, in addition to absorbing co2, will help improve the living conditions of local people.Each of us will be a participant in the project, guarding a tree and thus populating the forest.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
