The Forest
100 trees in Alzenau - 100 trees worldwide
In August 2019 many trees in Alzenau were destroyed by a heavy storm. SIGNUS
also had to say goodbye to many beloved green shade donors in the SIGNUS
forest. In mid-October 2020, this forest was given new life again with 100 planted trees! There are now sweet chestnuts, hornbeams and walnut trees, among
others.
Even in times of a pandemic, SIGNUS is aware of its social responsibility as a
globally active company based in beautiful Alzenau. What SIGNUS makes
possible at home is also passed on worldwide.
The employees of SIGNUS have each taken over a sponsorship for one of the
newly planted trees with a donation. The family of entrepreneurs around Uwe,
Susanne and Mareike Siedler doubled this amount to plant another 100 trees in
Guatemala on behalf of the entire SIGNUS team. Each employee has been given
one of these trees as a gift and is looking forward to the joint growth journey!
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
The trees in the forest will absorb:
